Just wondering if anyone has any information/suggestions/ etc. to help me try to locate ancestors of Noah Goodrich, born September, 1829.  His father is listed as John in the 1852 marriage register (city of Boston)  .  I found a Noah Goodrich in the 1850 Census which "could" be the right Noah since the age would fit, and the father is John.  Noah died in September 1908 and is buried In Fort Fairfield, Aroostook County, Maine.

The 1894 marriage record of Carrie Goodrich of Fort Fairfield gives her father's name as Noah Goodrich, his birth place as "Rome, N. C." I think the state is incorrect, but the town is correct. A Noah Goodrich, 20, lived in Rome, Kennebec, Maine, in 1850 with John and Lydia Goodrich. I believe this would be John and Lydia (Dunn) Goodrich/Goodridge who married 1809 in Belgrade. Both a John Goodridge and a John Goodridge, Jr., were living in Rome in 1830.

Thanks for such a quick response!  The 1850 census was the same one I had, but I hadn't found the marriage info for John and Lydia.  Where did you find the info for 1830?

Here is the page in the 1830 census showing the Goodridges. John Jr. had two boys living with him under age 5, so presumably one of them was Noah.
