Leaird and Hopkins

There sure seems to be a strong connection between the Leaird, Leard, Laird family (my side) and the Hopkins of Maine.  Is there anyone out there who is researching the Hopkins with perhaps a Hattie Hopkins in their genealogy?  Love to share the connections.  Thanks.
