I have been trying to figure out who William Bouiler's parents are. I have found 2 different Williams in the 1900 and 1910 censuses. Both Williams were married to Mary's'. The one that I'm looking for is the father of Cecil Boulier and grandfather to James Edward Boulier. There is a Mary L and Mary Jewette and now I'm not sure which one it is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The obiituary of Cecil Boulier says that he was born in Fort Fairfield, the son of William and Mary (Levesque) Boulier. The obit says that he was born in January 1911, but he was 3 months old in April 1910.
William Boulier and Mary Levesque married in 1902. Their marriage record should give you the information about his origins that you're looking for. He seems to have been the William H. Boulier, son of Joseph and Mary (Jewett) Boulier, born 2 May 1878, living with his parents and grandparents in Fort Fairfield in 1880.
You are the best! Thank you so much. I thought I had it right but needed a little help. So that would make Hattie and Frank, Joseph's Mother and Father, right?
Yes, it seems so. They were Francis and Harriet (Cyr) Boulier. There is more info on the family here.
You have just made my day!! Thank you so vary much. I was starting to make the connection to the book. Do you have any suggestions for searching France or Canada for more information on Francis? I seam to lose him in Canada when he come over with his parents to Quebec.
Catholic parish records are great resources, if you can figure out where they lived. If you can locate their marriage record, that should give you their parents' names. That last source I linked to said that their first few children were born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, so I would start there. I'm not sure what parish they would have belonged to while living there.
