Searching for children of EPHRAIM WASHBURN + REBEKAH DUNHAM

I am searching for documentation on the children of Ephraim Washburn and Rebekah Dunham who were married in 1785 in MA.

Revolutionary War Veteran Ephraim Washburn was born 1/21/1760 died 4/17/1836.

Rebekah Dunham born abt 1757 died age 69 in 1826.

According to "The Washburn Family" JAMES WASHBURN (my line) was born 5/6/1790, died 12/19/1868. He married Betsey Bonney 7/15/1810 in Turner, ME.

I am looking for info the DRT would find acceptable...

Any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Bess Antes

OOOps I meant the DAR would accept!

Hello Bess. I've seen your name mentioned a few times in my efforts to validate our ancestors for Mayflower. I recently received a copy of a marriage license from Madison County, Iowa for Josiah Palmer and Margaret Whited.Don't know if they are yours. The very nice lady in Madison that I emailed about the record also mentioned your name. I'm an Ancestry member also. I am working with the Arkansas Mayflower Society towards membership. Joe and Margaret are my 2nd great grandparents. I have 7 more birth, marriage, and death records to collect. I started on this 3 yrs ago and have joined DAR thru the Zorn line ; my moms' side. Mayflower is also on my moms' side. I have been verified by Arkansas for James Chilton, Francis Cooke, William Brewster and Experience Mitchell to get started with. Edward Doty was a no go. You are very close on the 12 ancestors though. Is there anyone else out there looking or is it just us ? Maybe we can help each other. Thanks

I am also in process of doing my maine mayflower society and dar app. My mayflowers are degory priest, francis cooke, stephen Hopkins, Edward doty ,james chilton,  francis cook again through his son and daughter, Richard warren

Hi Celestra!
If your Josiah O. Palmer was born 27 Jan 1861 Maine son of Charles and Hannah (Judkins) Palmer then we are definitely related. My line goes thru Josiah's older brother Benjamin Palmer. Good news is we aren't the only two people researching this line, bad news is it is the Rock of Gibralter.
Do you have any photos to share? Always the first thing so ask - LOL!
Let's see... Hannah's parents are Leonard and Laura/Lura Ann Washburn who had 9 kids. No headstones for either of them. Laura's parents were James and Betsy (Bonney) Washburn. They had 7 kids. James's dad was Ephraim Washburn died broke May 3, 1836 two years after marrying his second wife Jennett Thompson. They were still trying to settle claims against Ephraim in 1838. I have Josiah Wasnurn and Huldaj Leonard as his folks. Basically info about Ephraim and his kids is a mystery and that is the info I need for the DAR.
I do have DNA matches to Washburn lines, but that is considered secondary info to the DAR.
Interestingly my the name of Meyers shows up in my line as a middle name of my great grandmother's sister. Do you know where it came from?
One other note. I was given an old photo with a bunch of female Palmer cousins in it. Did Josiah have any daughters?
I look forward to hearing from you. Please use my email: ronbessantes at yahoo dot com.
