Wow! Again Chris Thank you! Footnote proved to be very helpful!! :)
Chris, I was wondering if you knew of any other place I could look to find my 4th great grandfather's parents? Orrin L Grant? I have been trying to look for them on Footnote and Ancestry and of course here and keep hitting a brick wall...can you help me please? :)
I found a census record on here listing a Melinda Corlis with a daughter named Mary A. so that would be Orrin's mother-in-law. I could not read the father's name but it almost looked like George. Not sure. Haven't found Orrin's father yet.
George Newman Corliss and his wife Melinda (Barber) Corliss did have a daughter Mary. Unfortunately, the Corliss genealogy has little info on the family.

I've had no luck finding Orrin's parents.
Thank you Chris..I won't give up...there's got to be something...somewhere...right? HUGS
Hi, William Oren Grant is my great uncle. He was married to Lucinda Lovitt True b. 12/20/1889 d. 5/16/1966. Aunt Lucy and uncle Bill had a great farm...which I enjoyed visiting. Aunt Lucy had twin sisters, Irene and Florence. Florence is my grandmother. I am named Irene after Aunt Irene. We lived in Yarmouth, the farm is still there.
So interesting. My name is Mary Anne Baker I am married to Donna's father Walter Baker. My husband did not grow up with his father and only met his grandfather one time. His father was Walter E. Grant son of Harriet Grant from N. Yarmouth...who's brother was your uncle William. He grew up only knowing a name his whole life and now we have found alot of information. My goal now is to contact someone who might have some family pictures. One of Harriet and Walter....if possible. I would love to take a picture of the farm as well. Would it be possible for you to tell me where it is in Yarmouth. I hopefully will be visiting the Yarmouth Historical Society soon. I am very interested on any information on the Grants and Grantville. Thank you for posting this. Take care, Mary Anne Baker
Thank you for replying Irene. I see you met my step-mom, and have been talking....thank you for all the help. :)
