The Title of this post are the surnames in my family going back to my 3rd Great grandparents. Aroostook County Maine, St. Agatha and Frenchville are the towns most of them lived in. Many of thier ancestors came down from Quebec, some through Madawaska New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I have many names and some stories in my family tree. There are still some lines I am working on that seem to dead end. Those I have found answers to lead to Mi'kmaq and Maliseet. This information has helped me to better understand myself. I am hoping to find others of like mind who wish to bring the truth to light. Our Aboriginal heritage has been hidden too long! Anyone with these surnames in their past please contact me.
