My grandmother was the next to the youngest, Ila. (third from the left/first row) Facinated to discover that Great Grandma holds the world record for individual births according to wikipedia. Ila married Frank Earl Pelton. Lived in Bucksport. They had 3 girls. Twins: Kathleen and Eureta (my Mom) and Earlene. Mom died at age 35 when I was age 9. So I know very little about the Dickey family history. Thank you for sharing Cheri!!

Hi - Thanks for replying! It's always great to "meet" another cousin. I've been researching the Dickey family story for about 30 years and was able to speak to several of the original children, including Ila whom I met at a family reunion. I had talks with many of the older grandchildren too and spoke at length with Jessie on several occasions and with Floyd. I have notes from those conversations which are really interesting. Incidentally, Ila was actually the first child in the front row. The one that you thought was her was Jessie. Emma Maye was the only one not in the photo, she died the year before, the only one to die at a young age, (though she was an adult and had been married. She was 30 when she died.)
