George Newman Corliss and his wife Melinda (Barber) Corliss did have a daughter Mary. Unfortunately, the Corliss genealogy has little info on the family. I've had no luck finding Orrin's parents.

I found a census record on here listing a Melinda Corlis with a daughter named Mary A. so that would be Orrin's mother-in-law. I could not read the father's name but it almost looked like George. Not sure. Haven't found Orrin's…

Donna ,
if run back with that Grant name I would not be at all surprised if it comes from the scot Prisoners who ended up in Dover NH and then York maine 1650's James Grant then Peter Grant.try Stackpoles Old Kittery for more info or Libby, Noyes, Davis....Maine Genaology Dictonary.you got a ways to go but, the Grants were quite prolific and went from Berwick in the 1740's up the coast to Montsweag
Good Luck Kevin McKinney

When and where did Walter, William M. and Hattie live, and what are you trying to find out about them?

(By the way, adding a discussion is really easy: just go here, give it a title, ask your question and click Add Discussion.)

Welcome to the site, Donna! Are there any particular "brick walls" you could post as discussion topics in the forum? I'm sure we can find someone here to help you knock them down!
