- Hi, Mary Anne, welcome to the site! We may be distant cousins. I've traced your Dunham line back to Joseph, b. ca. 1774 in Falmouth. If Joseph descended from Elisha Dunham of Falmouth, then we are certainly related. Elisha was a known descendant of Deacon John Dunham of Plymouth, Mass., who was my ancestor. There were some other Dunhams in southern Maine, though, whose descent from Deacon John has not been established.
