Yes, that is the Savage I have been following, but I have only been dabbling from my computer, not doing a lot of serious/primary research.  I haven't done any of my own research about their children, but I have entered a lot of the specifics of what I have about my own direct family tree in geni.com, which has merged a lot of the folks in my tree with the entries of other member's trees and from that, it appears that they had 5 children:

Mary (1723-1825) who married James Jr.

Abigail (1730-?) who married Charles Libby

Sarah (1736-?) who married John Boynton

Joshua ?

William ?

I haven't done the research, so I can't speak to the sourcing of this information, but there are a few more details  entered like birthplaces and husband details if you are interested.

I forgot to mention I had a great-aunt and her family that lived in Wayne or North Wayne Maine, her name was Ida "Campbell" Hewey, she was married to Hilton E Hewey , their children were Blinn Hewey Rector, Elizabeth Hewey, Alva Hewey and William Hewey Rector. Blinn and William took the last name Rector we are not sure why, Alva kept the Hewey last name and Elizabeth married a Palfrey from Portsmouth NH. Ida, Hilton and Blinn are buried in the Fayette Mills Cemetery on the Tom Surry Rd. in Fayette, Alva probably in Ct. William in Oklahoma, and Elizabeth in Portsmouth NH. Blinn was an Osteopath MD, the last time I saw him was 1973 at my home here in Rochester NH. My brother Robert's middle name was Wayne.

Yes, my Hiltons are from the Jackman area, Moose River or Sandy Bay.  They are descended from Elisha Hilton (1790-1851) and Phoebe Crosby (1790-1862).  The Hilton's married into my family so I really haven't attempted to research before Elisha.  There is a good deal of information on Elisha's descendents in "History of the Moose River Valley" published by the Jackman Moose River Valley Historical Society.  I have no idea if they tie into Ebenezer's family.  There is no mention of where Elisha came from but Phoebe was from Concord.  They married in 1813 and lived in Concord until 1831 when he was granted 600 acres in Sandy Bay.  His son, Sherwin married Eliza Jane Ray and Sherwin's brother, Jonah married Frances Ray.  Both girls were daughters of Archibald Ray and Jinnie Ray of Liniere, Beauce, Quebec, Canada.  Archibald and Jinnie Ray are my gggg grandparents.

Hi Merrylyn, I tried all my resources and didn't see his name anywhere in newspapers of that time, I then went to ancestry and books around that area and still could not find any evidence of him. I did see a lot of Trees on him on ancestry but no one had any thing on him other than he was supposedly born in Germany abt 1852. But I saw no details or proof of this. I know you have his grave stone on findagrave.com so he did exist!!! Perhaps if the two newspaper archives that I subscribe to add more content from this area in the future we may get an answer. I have many heritage trails that start and end in this part of Maine that still confound me. The vital records seem to have disappeared or never existed. I don't have the international ancestry upgrade, but perhaps there may be a record in some repository that can shed light on this. Good Luck, Ben
