Nelson,
Martin and Catherine's son Theron married Zilpha Leah Peare. She was b. 6/14/1862 in Greene, Me. She is the daughter of Darius Peare, b. 3/13/1832 d. 12/11/1862 age 31 yrs, 9 mo., 2 dys. Civil War. Darius m. Paulina H. Knowles b. 4/20/1839. They married in 1856 in Greene, Me. Their children:Charlotte, Sarah, and this Zilpha Leah. Darius died in the Civil War (buried in the same Peare cemetery we've spoke of) I know Charlotte and Sarah were raised by the local minister, I know not why, but something must've happened to their mother Paulina. I don't know who raised Zilpha. Zilpha's paternal grandfather was James Peare where Martin V. Whitney resided as a boarder in 1880 Greene, Me. Census. Thanks for the collaboration on this!!!
