"Thank you for not banging on the typo - Samuel Robinson married Mercy Staples in 1765, not 1785. With two different wives in two different locales, these are then two different Samuel Robinsons. So I'll look for another set of parents. Thanks."

I'm looking to see if there is any connection between the Samuel Robinson abt 1740-1785 who married Mercy Staples in 1786 Deer Isle and the Robinson who came from Gloucester Mass. I am looking for the parentage of the Samuel Robinson who married Mercy Staples about 1765 and died in Sedgwick Maine about 1785. Mercy then married Jonathan Torrey shortly thereafter.
