Hello Sue. You did not include your husband's email address, so I am replying here. I'm looking for any info on a Jesse D. Hodsdon, born (I think) in 1815 in Maine. I know of one Jesse Dustin Hodsdon who lived in Greenwood in 1850 and in Bethel (nearby) in 1860. He had a wife named Narcisa, and at least two children: Lucretia and James N. I have documentation of a Jesse D. Hodsdon marrying a Sarah J. Penney in Pownal in 1872. Is this the same person? I have found a James N. Hodsdon living in the Caribou area in 1880 -- he later moved to Oxford County and is buried in Bethel. But the census data says that his father is James E. Hodsdon (not Jesse D.), so I am confused. Maybe these are just two families with same-named individuals. Any help from you or your husband appreciated.
