The couple, with daughter Christina, was living in Stoneham, Mass., in 1880. Lottie was living in Norway in 1900 with her two daughters (including Chrissie Bradbury).

What can we do to protest this bill...is there a say of the people of Maine? I think its terrible to take away our access to family records!

You should be able to trace back Ellsworth at least one more generation using census records He was an invalid, and called "Elmer" in the 1880 census. The original 1880 census record also says (and this record confirms) that…

I am a quarter Finnish: my maternal grandmother was the daughter of Finnish immigrants. I've collected a good deal of information over the years on Oxford County Finns, including Kalle and Anna. I'll be emailing you some info shortly.

You should be able to trace back Ellsworth at least one more generation using census records He was an invalid, and called "Elmer" in the 1880 census. The original 1880 census record also says (and this record confirms) that Ellsworth's father lost a leg in the Civil War.

The obituary of Annie's mother offers some great biographical details, including the identity of Annie's biological father. The obit says Amelia was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in South Paris, but I wasn't able to spot her in the listings.

The obit also mentions Annie's step-father, Alfred Cole, who had been in a hospital for 27 years. It appears from this article that he was a resident of the "insane asylum" in Augusta.
