My Grandfather came to Colorado as a young man of 25 and to my knowledge left no family history. He is suppose to have been born in Calais, Washington County Maine, on December 31, 1865 and arrived in Colorado in 1890, Who is parents were are a large question? According to US census reports both parents were born in Ireland and that is all I know.
His name was George Frederick Black.

Looking for a obituary on Wilfrid Lavoie ..born 3/10/1901 in St.Pacome, Quebec, Canada..died..06-23 -1968 in Lewiston, Maine...his father was Belone Lavoie who had brothers Ignace and Joseph Lavoie ..his mother was Marie Lavoie(Collins) There parents i am not sure of ..wondering how far back i can get. I have found back w=to where Joseph Lewis has parents from England, now that was a shock. We didn't know there was English in our blood. Now Nelly Hayes is not helping at all. The searches on her come up with dead ends. But I will keep looking.

Alva and Josie "Ham" Campbell's home on Rt#17-State Rd. Located across from Fayette Mills one room school now a library. She died in 1953, would like to know when built and owners up to their buying it.

Does anyone have access to the town records to see if there were any land sales for Joseph Inman and Lettice Holmes? I have a feeling they sold their property and may have left with their children to go to Ohio at this time.

Looking for an Obituary of Robertine Edna Pomerleau( Lizotte maiden name ..first marriage last name was Tribou) she died on Nov.1 1976.
