Maine Experience: The Shoe Strike of 1937

From MPBN: In 1937 the largest labor strike in the state's history erupted in violence. The incident made national headlines as years of simmering disagreements over workers' rights boiled over. The ensuing riots divided Lewiston-Auburn in ways we feel today.
