I am looking for information on Joseph Spaulding's family line.  He married Alice Wyman daughter of Henry Wyman and Sarah TUttle, and had the following children: Harrison, Bradford, Cordelia, Amanda, Joseph, & James.  In the 1850 Census the family is listed as living in The Forks, Somerset, Maine.  Who were Joseph's parents?  My line traces back thru Cordelia who married Cyrus Williams in 1861.

HI Judith

You should look in the Brighton Maine area for Wyman's.  There are alot of them in that area.

Look online for a digital copy of the Spaulding Memorial it covers most all of the lines going back. Spaulding and Spalding is the same and the group in Somerset originated from Groton, MA, and Plainfield Connecticut through Georgetown. Both lines are actually from the same immigrant ancestor with 2 wives and over 5 children who lived to have children out of Braintree, Massachussetts, and Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

I have several lines that are cross linked with Spauldings in Massachussetts, Maine, Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont, and New Hampshire from the beginning all the way through.

Also dad's family in Kittery has lines with Tuttle in my database as well as Burnham, and other Angel Gabriel names due to Burnham marrying Spinney.
