This is a rare photo as it is the only time I believe Bernard Rice ever stepped outside of Washington County Maine. Relatives brought him up to Fairfield maine for a day visit and he made a quick stop at his sister's, Grace Lois Rice Anthony house, where this photo was taken.
Norman and Adair Bagley was the ones who drove him to Fairfield.
