Chris, can you take a second look at this stone? I know the town records say he died Jan 4, 1848, but it sure looks to me like the stone says Jun 4. Am I seeing it wrong?
I checked the other photos of the stone I took that day. The top of the "a" seems to be obscured by lichen. I'm pretty sure it says Jan.
