Cathy, you might be interested.. Sockalexis' aunt, Susan Newell' was married to my 2nd great grandfather, John Wesley Johnson. John was stolen by Indians in 1833 on the banks of the Saco River on Factory Island, Saco. He eventually married Susan and did a lot of his traveling with her and her family, especially Loren Newell, Susan's brother and Sockalexis' father, your 2nd great grandfather. He and Susan never had children. He later married a Mary (Johnson) who I am descended directly from.
