I'm happy to hear you can tell me a lot about the Fickett family that I didn't know I had until maybe 2-3 years ago. I went on Ancestry.com to find out more about my family and what nationality I was. I came to a road block when it came to my grandmother Vivian Robinson. I tried to order a birth certificate from Maine for her and they told me I couldn't get one because she was born out of wedlock. I found her on on a census living with her grandparents, levi and Elizabeth Morse. Went back to the previous census before she was born and did the math on which one of the children could be the mother (my great grand-mother). It would be Lucy Morse. She wasn't on the census that my grandmother was on, so she left her with her grandparents. About 2-3 years ago my aunt showed me the birth certificate of her mother, it stated Lucy A Morse and Clifford C Fickett as her parents. When my husband and I last visited Maine to visit my other aunt, we found Irving and Loretta's graves in Evergreen Cemetery and next to them is Clifford's grave. My aunt that lives in Maine said out of the blue one year she heard from one of Clifford's brother. He told her he just found out Clifford had a daughter. She was already deceased by then. It makes me sad. So here I am soon to be 66 yrs old and not knowing about this side of the family. My father's side is a dead end also. So I'm excited to learn what you have and see some pictures. Please tell me more.
