Charles Emery Smith & Emma R Allen - Kennebec, Me (Fairfield)

Charles E Smith and Emma R. Allen were married around 1884 +- in the Kennebec Maine area. I am able to trace Emma Allen to John E Allen - Baranabas Allen - Ebenezer Allen (All from Fairfield, ME). But, I am having trouble finding anything on Charles E Smith. I cannot seem to located the name of his mother or father. All I can find is a census that lists Emma as his wife and Emery (my ancestor) as his son.Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have passed your query along to a friend of mine who volunteers at the Fairfield History House, she might be able to help you.

Thank you, Chris. I am technologically challenged.

Amanda-- Charles & Emma Smith were in Holbrook, Mass. on the 1920 census. You might check the Mass. Vital Records to see where he died and then look at his death certificate (which should list his parents' names). They were in Waterville in 1900 (census) and Fairfield in 1904 (Fairfield Register). Incidentally, both Fairfield and Smithfield are in Somerset County.

Charles Elmer Smith and Emma Rebecca Allen were married 23 December 1886 in Auburn, Androscoggin, Maine.

They are in the 1910 Census in Holbrook, Norfolk, MA, with Charles as the head. Also listed are Emma, Irma, Charles V, and Carroll L.

Emma Rebecca's father, John E Allen is my 2nd Great Grandfather.
