Deed: Lydia A. Dunham to Lemuel Dunham, 17 Oct. 1896


Know all Men by these Presents, That

I Lydia A. Dunham, wife of Lemuel Dunham of Greenwood, County of Oxford and State of Maine in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars, paid by Lemuel Dunham of Greenwood County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Lemuel Dunham his heirs and assigns forever, a certain lot of land situated in said Greenwood being lot numbered Eleven (11) in the ninth (9) Range of lots in the North half of said Greenwood.

Also one other piece or parcel of land situated in said Greenwood being a part of lot numbered eleven (11) in the eighth (8) range and bounded as follows to wit:—
On the South and East by the original lot lines; on the north partly by a stone wall, thence by a line running from said wall to the old county road; and on the west by the said county road; containing twenty (20) acres be the same more or less.


TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforegranted and bargained Premises, with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof, to the said Lemuel Dunham his Heirs and Assigns, to their use and behoof forever. And I do covenant with the said Lemuel Dunham Grantee his Heirs and Assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises; that they are free of all incumbrances; that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Grantee to hold as aforesaid; and that I and my heirs, shall and will WARRANT AND DEFEND the same to the said Grantee his Heirs and Assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.

In Witness Whereof, I the said Lydia A. Dunham and wife of the said Lemuel Dunham in testimony of her relinquishment of her right of Dower in the above described Premises, have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six (1896)
