I need not explain the names like BROWN are extremely difficult to trace.
I have been tracing my Brown line for 10 years + and because I am stubborn refuse to drop my search.
My Samuel Brown was b. 1814 and died 6 Feb 1883 in Yarmouth, Maine.
He married twice...#1 Alphonza Drinkwater #2 Sarah Mariah True ( my line)
It is my theory my Samuel was the son of Benjamin Brown ( a spendthrift) and Rachel Stevens both b. Greene, Maine
In the 1850 census they were living with son Thomas W. in Newburgh, Maine and both gone by 1860. I have tried very hard to find all the children Benjamin and Rachel had...and can only identify two..Thomas W. (wife Druscilla) and Benjamin Jr (have only seen the name) After they married Benjamin and Rachel moved from Greene to Leeds, Me
and may have live in other towns. This has been a thorn in my side for many years and I can only search online (due to distance)...HOW I WOULD LOVE TO SOLVE THIS "BRICK WALL" It is my hope this will ring a bell with another researcher and I can finally find a family for my Samuel.
