Judith was living in Strong when she married Patrick. The only other Barker I see in the "Record of Marriages by Cornelius Norton, Jr., of Industry" is Zebediah Barker, also of Strong, who married 1811. The 1850 census entry for Zebediah says that he was born about 1788 in Greene, Maine.

Two Barkers signed the 1788 petition for the incorporation of Greene: Azariah Barker and William Barker. Both William and Azariah still lived in Greene in 1800. A William Barker lived in Strong in 1810 (along with a William Barker, Jr.). This family supposedly came from Greene.

If I had to guess, I would say that Judith was a daughter of William Barker and a sister of Zebediah.

Oh, Thanks so much.  Hopefully I can take off on William. A friend of mine recently sent me the History of Green, Maine by Mower. There appears to be lots of good information and many family records but did not find Barker information.  I need to sit down and read the complete volume.

Thanks agein.
