Lemuel Dunham passed away at his home in Greenwood, Oct. 4th, after a long sickness. He was born in Hartford, Me., Aug. 26, 1830, the son of Lemuel and Mary (Bisbee) Dunham. In 1880 [sic] he married Lydia Cummings Clifford by whom he had four children, two of whom survive him, Carrie E. Dunham Swan, and Elton L., with whom he lived. About 1865 he moved from his farm in Hartford to Bryant's Pond living there ten years. During his residence there he with his wife were baptized and joined the Baptist church. In 1875 Mr. Dunham moved to Greenwood where he has since lived. He was a Republican in politics, a poet of some renown and has been for many years a correspondent for the Oxford Democrat.
