Looking for information regarding the White Family

I am just beginning this Genealogy Journey and have recently learned from a published book written by my G.Grandfather, that my branch of the White family originated in Ireland. At present am stymied  around an ancestor that lived within the now Sagadahoc county area and on Vinalhaven/Newhaven Islands. His name is/was George White, he served as a town leader on the islands and was in the Revolutionary War. His first wife was Lucy Thorn(e) of Topsham, his second wife was a Sarah Oliver reportedly from Georgetown. He has decedent's in Albion, Augusta, Gardiner, Pittston and Monmouth Maine. I also believe that he may still have decedent's living on the  Islands.

I would greatly appreciate any information that might be available and am willing to share any information that I may have or acquire

thank you

I am looking for James Tilley's born 1842, Fredericton, New Brunswick.  Or more to the point I am looking for the names of his Mother and Father.  I think he is the Grandson of Samuel Tilley who was a loyalist and went into Canada after the revolutionary war.  I also spelled Muggerstown wrong, it's Maugerville Township.

Ok good luck to you.  One more little tip is that the "Google search engine" is very good at searching for names so if you type in Say George White along with his birthday and where he lived you should get hits.  Do it with him and his other family members and also with yourself.  You might come accross compleated family trees that will help you out,  Just be sure to verify any information that you get form looking at other trees ... Sometime thay are not correct.  As in my case most of the family trees have my father Eugene Hardy as Eugene E. Hardy who did live one but was not my father and has a different birthdate,,,

John...my grandmother Eva White (maiden name) - her father was Williard Henry White (married to Catherine Victoria Richards). Williard's father was Leonidas White (married to Roxanna Barlow and then to Elizabeth Augustus Nado). Leonidas's father was Henry White (married to Prudence Pendleton). Leonidas's father was George White (married to Sarah Oliver). Let's talk...I'd love to hear what you have discovered in your journey. I've just started getting back into my research.
