LOCKE MILLS—Mrs. Mabel C. Dunham, 81, widow of Elton L. Dunham, died Thursday afternoon at her home here.
Born in Greenwood, July 10, 1879, she was the daughter of Edgar H. and Delilah Emmons Morgan. She was married on Sept. 26, 1896, to Elton L. Dunham, who died March 28, 1953. She was a life long resident of Greenwood. Mrs. Dunham was a 60 year member of the Franklin Grange, Bryant Pond; a charter member of the Locke Mills Community Club; a member of the Jackson-Silver American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Fellowship, the Old Methodist Church, West Paris; and attended the Locke Mills Union Church.
Surviving are three sons, R. Clyde and Edgar H., both of this town, Theodore R. of Bethel; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Hinkley, Bethel, Mrs. Netta Cole, Greenwood Center, Mrs. Gladys Jordan and Mrs. Vera Cross, both of this town; five brothers, Floyd Morgan, South Paris, Frank, [Waterford, Henry, Bryant Pond,] Roy, Greenwood City, Willie of Greenwood Center; a sister, Mrs. Cora Bennett of this town; 27 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
At Locke Mills, Nov. 17, 1960, Mrs. Mabel C. Dunham, aged 81. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. from the Locke Mills Union church, Rev. Carlene Bradley officiating. Interment in the Hicks cemetery, Greenwood. Visiting hours at the I. W. Andrews & Son Funeral Home, South Woodstock, Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.
