Hello, I am looking for the parents of Mahala Jackson. She married Albert B. Chapman before 1850. They show up in the 1850 China Maine Census. I believe she was born around 1822. Any help is appreciated.
Still looking but she is interred in the Weeks Mills cemetery at China, Maine. Death date is 6 Sep 1870 age 48 yrs 8 mos 5 yas. this is according to MOCA records.
There was also a Son Frank Chapman died 20 Jun 1868 age 16 yrs 27 das. buried next to her.
Could she be the daughter of Alexander Jackson and Hannah Osborn? Both Alexander and Mahala were in China, Maine in 1850
Not sure if she is the daughter of Alex and Hannah. The only Jackson reference from China, Maine. I can find is Page 1166 of the History of Kennebec, Maine. Possibly researching this family may turn up some clues? These are the Jackson's that are interred at Weeks Mills, Possibly another clue? According to MOCA records.
