Maine Genealogical Society's Spring Workshop: April 21

The Maine Genealogical Society's Annual Spring Workshop will be April 21st in Augusta, ME.

This year's special guest will be Maureen A. Taylor, The Photo Detective. Taylor will educate us on some good ways to help identify all those ancestors who lay, without a name, in shoe boxes around the globe. We'll listen to the stories of some of the earliest people to have their photographs taken, Revolutionary War era soldiers. Of course participants will also learn how to best preserve their own family photos for generations to come, and more.

There's still time to register today and join us in Augusta, Maine on April 21st for an interesting look at photography and its intersection with genealogy & history.  For more information about the Workshop and to get a registration form, you can visit the Maine Genealogical Society's website http://www.maineroots.org
