Hortense would have been born in the 1860's or very early 1870's in Coaticook, Quebec. She moved to Maine and I suspect was married. Her sisters Thersile and Victoria married in Lewiston, Maine. Thersile married a William Duguy and Victoria married Hubert Sirois. If you have any information on either Hortense or Thersile I would appreciate it.

The Dumonts were living in St-Eloi, Témiscouata in 1881 with their widowed father Fabien Dumont.

Marie Victoria Dumont, daughter of Fabien and Emilie (Michaud) Dumont, was baptized 5 June 1866 at St-Eloi. (You'll have to go this link, and then choose Saint-Eloi --> 1866 --> View Images and go to image 11.)

Tharsille was baptized 19 Oct. 1858 in the same parish (1858, image 16), and Marie Hortense was baptized 28 Jan. 1865 (1865, image 7).

Fabien Dumont, son of Jean Baptiste and Marie (Malenfant) Dumont, married Emilie Michaud, daughter of Abraham and Marie (Michaud) Michaud, 29 Jan. 1858 in St-Eloi (1858, image 6).

At least one other sibling of Victoria married in Lewiston, but I can't find a trace of Hortense or Thersile. I'll keep looking.

Thank you very much. I suspect that Thersile and Tharsille are one and the same.
