We have a full day of educational lectures planned - a variety of topics for a variety of interests and experience levels. We start the day with a discussion of some uncommon resources that perhaps haven't been considered. A revisit to some foundational areas is designed to share knowledge and new insights in the are areas of newspaper research, probate research and census research. Have you considered looking at almshouses for you ancestors? Just how do you do that and what might you find?
We'll also look at research tools - this year's exploration will be looking at ways Facebook and other other social networking websites can be used effectively for genealogical purposes.
In this anniversary year of the Civil War, we would be remiss in not including a session on this important event. We're going to be taking a look at the role of women in Civil War.
