"Riley" is an unusual name in early Oxford County, and I see no Rileys living in Denmark around 1811. There were Rileys, though, in the town of Baldwin in Cumberland County, about 10 or 15 miles from Denmark. Ephraim and Abigail Riley of Baldwin had a son William, born 20 Mar. 1811. Ephraim was the only Riley living in the area in 1820 who had a son of the right age to be William. As William and Elizabeth Riley named one of their children "Ephraim," I think it is highly likely that this was the same William Riley.

No, I'm not a member of the historical society.
