Last week while in Washington, D.C., I stopped by the National Headquarters of the Daughters of the American Revolution to see what information they might have on my Revolutionary War ancestors - What a treat!
The staff at D.A.R. headquarters was welcoming and extremely helpful. Their library and computer records are amazing. For a modest $6.00 fee, non-members can use the library, search the records and avail themselves of the expert and friendly staff.
I was able to review all of the records and supporting documentation for my Revolutionary War ancestors and their descendants, some of which I had not seen before. They charged me only 25 cents per page to print records.

Wow, that was quite a gift wasn't it. Can't believe the prices were so reasonable.
Thanks for sharing your visit.

looking forward to visiting there as soon as I can arrange it. Do they have a web site?
