FamilySearch has Ira born in the town of Bradley in Penobscot County. Bradley was known as "Township No. 4 Old Indian Purchase, East of Penobscot River" (T4 OIP EPR) prior to its incorporation in 1835. Towns were usually organized as plantations prior to incorporation.
There was no Plantation No. 4 in Oxford County in 1828.
