Heather I was just looking at the 1850 census of the town of Cutler, Maine.  Lots of Grants in there.  I was just catching back up as I have been very busy on Ancestry.com and only have so much time for this stuff. I am retired so I love doing it.

I noticed in an old post you were looking for the name Grant.

So much unsurety, what with all the municipal boundary shifting at the time. Samuel Cunningham married Eunice Day, 1786 in Newcastle; though their general census data puts them in Jefferson, originally Ballstown. Not sure we have a connection, but it's possible. Samuels children were Susannah, Alice, Nancy, Washington, Mary, Samuel, Elbridge, Austin and George.

Lincoln County, Maine. Pretty sure they were all in Newcastle, but I'd have to confirm that a bit later when I get home; surely Lincoln County though. This consisted of my GG-grandfather (Almond) to my GGGG-grandfather (Samuel). Not sure about anything further thn that.

Yes I am also from William  I sent you a message on the rest   I never saw the message from Sept 7 2013  sorry   My great great grandmother Lucy Berry married an Andrews before she married a Bagley  I will look on the map to see where West Rockport

I was in Maine 2 summers ago and did the graveyard thing but it was pouring rain in August as usual. I want to go back again   I love doing this. Bringing my brother next time. We had a real fairy tale going in our family about being Native American. I think was a way way back if at all.  Jeanne

Was in West Rockport today in a graveyard that had MANY Bagley, Andrews and other surnames mentioned in this conversation.  I have 2 sets of Berry families and so far have been unable to connect them.  My great grandmother, Charlotte Richards has a Berry on her side of the family... William Berry (who married Jane Locke Hermins) from England and Strawberry Banks area), New Hampshire.  On the Berry side of my family, I may have traced it back to England if I have the right people listed.  I have been trying to prove or unprove that.  The first Berry on that side of my family may have been Amon Dailey Berry who's son is Charles Amon Berry from Rockport, Maine.  Amon Dailey Berry and his wife I traced back to Massachusetts and England.  I know there are Berrys in Machias, but I have not been able to find a link to them.  Yet.

Fabulous photos   I am going to look up how we are related in the tree. My GGGrandma is Lucy Berry Andrews Bagley. Her dad was Westbrook G Berry Jr. and is buried in the Machias, ME cemetery.    Jean Bagley
