Betsey Young

Hello,I am looking for the family of my 3rd great grandmother,  Betsy Young Wilson. She was born around 1800, married Edmund Wilson as his 3rd wife in 1819 in Boothbay, bore 7 children, and died around 1840. One source states she is from Newcastle, another from Bristol. These sources also state that her sister Mary married her oldest stepson, Ira Wilson. I found some Youngs who were in Bristol around that time, several brothers who might be her father, but have only seen children listed for 2…See More

Woodbury Davis

Hello, I am researching my great great grandfather, Woodbury Davis. NOT the famous one, although born around the same time. Birth around 1813 to 1815, married my gg grandmother Hannah Snow b.1830 in South Thomaston, in 1849, Rockland. His occupation was listed as ship's carpenter, but after marriage they moved to Waldo. Found the family in 1860 census in Thorndike, farming. My great grandmother Cora was born 1859. Does anyone know where he came from, who his family was?
