Hi,

Descended through the Buckingham line via Stephen to Hezekiah to Stephen Thomas to Eva Alma Buckingham (my maternal grandmother). Eva's daughter Luella Ann Doak married Clinton White in 1943 and in 1944 I arrived. Would love to share info. Especially any sourced stuff from Stephen and Sarah. I have little other than they married and ended up in New Brunswick.

Hello,

According to Free Baptist Cyclopedia, 1889.: Re. John Clark was born in Newcastle, Maine and died in Prospect, Maine, Aug. 8, 1871, aged 78 years. I found record showing that John and his brother Robert both served in the War of 1812. I have had no luck finding out who their parents were. The bothers are buried in what is known as Clark Cemetery in Prospect. You can find photos their gravestones on FindAGrave.com. If you have any additional information about the family, I would appreciate hearing about it.

I have read your "A Case for Correcting the Surname of Mary, Wife of William Martin of Bristol, Maine". I am looking to add him to my D.A.R. Patriots. Any documentation you have on him that would help establish him as a Revolutionary War Soldier would be of great help. I know you list quite a few "sources" for him, but if you have printouts you could email me so I could print them out, that would be fantastic.

William Martin's daughter Letty married Joseph Meservey and I descend from them. Joseph's father Benjamin Meservey served as 1st Lieutenant in the same 3rd Regiment Lincoln County that William Martin did.

Thanks in advance,

Shelly Young Bell.

(Shelly Lamkin on ancestry.com where I have the Meservey line back to one Jean Meservey about 1280 on Jersey, Channel Islands.)
