Hi Trixie, I don't know how much help I can be. I haven't been able to trace the Bachelders back very far. My grandmother was Georgia Bachelder born in Brooks and had one brother Benjamin who had no children. Her father John Bachelder Jr. was born in Swanville. He had a number of brothers, Edmond who lived in Houlton. His other brothers were Sylvester, Henry, William, and Joseph Colby Bachelder.I have looked at the Bachelder geneology in the Bangor Library but have not been able to make a connection. If you would send your husband's grandmothers name I will try to see if I can find it in my notes.
Thanks. I'm looking for any information on Maurice O'Connor (no relation to me), who was born on Prince Edward Island and literally walked from PEI to Maine to fight in the Civil War, enlisting in 1861 with the 1st Battalion Maine Light Artillery (Company E). Also, I'm looking for any information on my great-greatgrandparents, John Hamilton Stewart/Stuart and Christina Nicholson, both born on Prince Edward Island, during the time period 1896 to 1900/01, when they were both working for a family in Corinna.
Hello I am sorry I wish I could help you but all the history is on here that can be found the only other way might be finding other relatives of the Dalrymple clan I do know there are some in Scotland and a town there called Dalrymple you could start there I gave up:)Good Luck Blessings and Peace!
